SARA is excited to introduce our new Education and Outreach Coordinator, Amanda House, M.Ed., NCC, CCMHC! Amanda joined SARA in April 2018 and will continue developing SARA’s efforts to provide community education to the Roanoke Valley as we work to support survivors of sexual violence. Amanda earned her B.A. in Psychology from James Madison University and her M.A.Ed. in Counselor Education from Virginia Tech. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC), and is an LPC Resident in Counseling. She has experience working in inpatient and outpatient substance abuse and has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. Amanda is a dedicated runner and CrossFitter who enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs.
