Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2017

We Have A TON Planned!

Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) is celebrated in April on an annual basis throughout the world. While every month is SAAM here at SARA, we wanted to plan special programming throughout the month to engage with the Roanoke Valley community. What we have coordinated are a number of awareness events, educational programs, fundraisers, and collaborations that truly strive towards this year’s theme of “Engaging New Voices”. It’s so easy to make a difference in our community this April. Listed below are ways for you to get involved, including all of our community events and information about our social media campaign, #30DaysofSAAM. HUGE shout out to NSVRC for providing all of the wonderful #SAAM materials!

You can support survivors, spread awareness, and win prizes!

Here’s How to Participate

Follow the daily prompts listed below each day in April. Tag your photo (on Instagram, Facebook, and/or Twitter) with #30DaysofSAAM, #SAAM, and tag: @SARARoanoke and @NSVRC. Each week we’ll randomly select a winner!
