SARA is now accepting applications for our Fall 2018 Volunteer Crisis Advocate training program! Our Volunteer Crisis Advocates provide crisis response to surviviors of sexual violence through our 24-hour crisis hotline and by providing accompaniment to survivors at local hospitals, law enforcement agencies, and protective order proceedings. SARA Volunteers are a crucial part of our ability to respond to survivors and their loved ones in moments of need, providing crisis intervention, support, advocacy, emergency assitance, and information and referrals. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, have access to reliable transportation, complete the 40-hour Crisis Advocate training provided by SARA, and be able to commit to at least one (1) year of service.
