What We Do
24-Hour Crisis Hotline
You call. We help. Our hotline runs 24-hours a day and is free and confidential. 540-981-9352
Counseling
All counseling services at SARA are free, voluntary, and confidential. All services are provided by our professional staff. SARA provides counseling for survivors and their loved ones ages 13 and older. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please call 540-345-7273.
Advocacy
SARA Crisis Advocates are available 24-hours a day to provide in-person crisis support and advocacy to survivors of sexual violence. Navigating the medical and legal systems during a crisis can feel overwhelming on your own. We can help be your guide throughout the process. SARA works with survivors and/or their families and friends regardless of whether or not there is police or legal involvement in the case.
Educational Workshops
Invite SARA to train your organization, staff, faith group, school, or any other group that is interested! The goals of SARA’s community education and training efforts are to increase public awareness about the impact of sexual violence, promote community involvement, foster a multi-disciplinary systems approach to survivors of sexual violence, and challenge prevailing attitudes and dispel the myths which perpetuate the problem of sexual violence.
